Genotypes AG + GG are associated with increased dose of opioids in people with Pain, Postoperative as compared to genotype AA.
Patients carrying the G allele had significantly higher opioid consumption in the first 24 hours post-surgery compared to those with the AA genotype. This significance was lost in the 48-hour postoperative period.
