Annotation of rs5569
Genotypes AG + GG are associated with increased response to methylphenidate in children with Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity as compared to genotype AA.
Post hoc least significant difference comparisons suggested that subjects with both G/G and G/A genotypes showed greater symptom reductions (7.15 ± 4.25 and 6.94 ± 5.60) than those with A/A genotypes (2.13 ± 4.29) (p < .01). Response was measured using the ADHD RS-IV scale.

Population description
Study Cohort: ADHD RS-IV hyperactive-implusive subscale
Note: Alleles in PharmGKB are mapped to the positive chromosomal strand. Therefore, variants in genes on the "minus" strand (eg. VKORC1) are complemented in PharmGKB annotations.
