Annotation of rs1554203

Allele A is not associated with response to platinum in people with Lung Neoplasms as compared to allele G.

26 SNPs were selected which satisfied the following criteria: 1) SNPs were from HapMap Project Phase II of the Han Chinese population 2) were haplotype tagger SNPs 3) SNP minor allele frequency was higher than 5% in Han Chinese 4) the pairwise linkage disequilibrium correlation coefficient (r-squared) was greater than 0.8. After Bonferroni corrections no SNPs remained significantly associated with platinum drug efficacy.

    Population description

    men; women

Drug: patients with small-cell and non-small cell lung cancer receiving first line platinum chemotherapy (cisplatin and carboplatin). With Bonferroni correction the significance threshold reached 0.0006. No SNPs remained significantly associated with response to chemotherapy at this level of significance.

Note: Alleles in PharmGKB are mapped to the positive chromosomal strand. Therefore, variants in genes on the "minus" strand (eg. VKORC1) are complemented in PharmGKB annotations.
