This element defines a sample from an individual subject. Subjects may have multiple samples (e.g. a liver sample, a blood sample, etc.).
Please note that all samples must be referred to with a valid Sample ID (via the pharmgkbId attribute). Sample IDs are available by request and serves to anonymize the data.
The term subelement should be used to provide details on this sample. For example, a MeSH term could indicate that this sample comes from the liver or is a cancer biopsy.
| pharmgkbId | A unique identifier assigned by the PharmGKB (the PharmGKB Accession Id). This attribute is used to refer to data that is already in the PharmGKB and is only supplied when editing or adding to such data. See the FAQ for details. |
| localId | A unique identifier for this element assigned by the submitter. The only rule it must follow is that no two XML elements can be assigned the same localId within a single XML document. See the FAQ for details. |
