This element defines a named allele. A named allele is a group of alleles with a well known designation for a particular gene. CYP1A1*3, CYP1B1*22 and CYP2D6*10B are all examples of named alleles.

Just like genes, named alleles are curated and new named alleles can only be created by the PharmGKB. If you know of a named allele that is not in the PharmGKB, please contact us and we will work on adding it.

Attributes
pharmgkbId
