This type describes a genotyping assay. A genotyping assay is any assay that can only detect one base pair. This element should only be used if the assay is not one of the predefined genotyping assay types (i.e. DHPLC, RFLP, pyrosequencing or TaqMan assays).
The results of a genotyping assay are reported within a genotypingResult element.
