The Stanford-South Africa Pharmacogenomics Course

The Stanford-South Africa Biomedical Informatics (SSABMI) Training Program expands teaching, training, and research opportunities for individuals interested in the application of informatics technologies to problems in biomedical research. The program is a partnership between the University of the Western Cape, the University of Cape Town, the National Institute of Communicable Diseases, and Stanford University. Please see the Stanford-South Africa Biomedical Informatics Program web site for more details.

As part of this program, two members of the PharmGKB team -- Russ B. Altman, M.D., Ph.D. and Caroline Thorn, Ph.D. -- presented a course on Pharmacogenetics and Pharmacogenomics. A list of the topics covered is given below, with downloadable versions of the slides used for each talk.
