Why do I need a password?

PharmGKB accounts are required for both viewing data associated with individual identifiers (in order to protect the confidentiality of subjects) and submitting data. Pooled and summary data can be viewed without a PharmGKB account. In addition, certain resources may be restricted to users affiliated with specific projects. You are being asked to sign in with your User ID and password because the resource you are trying to view falls into one of these categories.
