Clinical Pharmacogenomics

This page catalogues drugs with pharmacogenomic information in the context of FDA-approved drug labels and lists drugs with mounting pharmacogenomic evidence.*

Genetic tests are required, recommended, or mentioned for the following drugs:

Clicking on a drug will open a new window displaying pharmacogenomic drug labeling information, FDA-approved/cleared pharmacogenomic diagnostic testing information, and links to relevant PharmGKB resources.

Drug with mounting pharmacogenomic evidence:

As new evidence related to a drug emerges, the FDA may initiate a drug relabeling process. The FDA considers several criteria in determining whether drug relabeling is appropriate.

Clicking on a drug will open a new window displaying pharmacogenomic evidence for that drug.

To suggest a drug for potential pharmacogenomic relabeling, you may send e-mail to feedback@pharmgkb.org. Please include the reason for relabeling and supporting evidence (e.g., PubMed IDs of relevant publications). Suggestions will be evaluated by PharmGKB curators and shared with the FDA.

FDA Information on Genomic Biomarkers

The following table was developed by the Genomics group at the FDA. It contains entries for over 20 drugs and lists genomic biomarkers relevant to drug response, drug label excerpts of pharmacogenomic relevance, examples of other drugs associated with the biomarker, and literature references.
